Welcome to the official home for The Squeaky Wheels.
12/02/08Winter's upon us and yet we don't let down.. The trial laid upon
us only make us want to play that much more.. And this will happen at Flyers on the 13th.. Lee 11/22/08Due to a furnace failure, Twisted Spoke on 11/22/08 has been cancelled. 9/21/08Hello once again my friends! It's just Matt letting you know about an upcoming show. On Saturday, October 4th we are at Flyers in Parma Hts. It is one of my favorite places and I also love playing there. Finally, getting everyone together so we can perform for you is not easy with everyone's busy schedule; But we did it. I will be calling a lot of you to remind you since so many of you have been on me to get the group moving and play already. 8/10/08'cuz we can.. this is a test.. this is only a test.. .. a test of concept.. 7/1/08Pictures have been updated.. 1/21/08
Hey y'all, how's it going? As always, good I hope. First, I have to send
"thanks" to those of you who sent congrats to Micayla and myself
on the birth of Sophia. I heard from people who I thought left the state,
from some I thought left the planet. It was nice.
We went out this week to help Mary Berry celebrate her birthday (January 20). It was a bit strange in the sense that we usually have this party at one of the Wheels gigs; particularly set up for this occasion. We did her "21st" at Bucco's, "22nd" at Tequila Sunrise, "23rd at Fairway Inn and her "24th" at Flyers. From pics in the archives you can see this was always a blast to do. Let's hope we get to have it at a Wheels gig next year!
Anyway, I hope your New Year is going as good as mine and you achieve
all your goals! Keep talking, I love the responses. buckforrester@sbcglobal.net anytime!
I will get back to y'all soon.
Sincerely,
Matt.

Well it's that time again. Yes, the notorious band leader says "we're
still here"! I know we haven't chatted in awhile... So much going
on these days; But I am not complaining by any means.
First to start off, the Wheels will be taking off the month of January, for sure. We all need time to get things done; That is where we are. Micayla and I had a baby girl on 12/20/2007. We named her Sophia. She is already spoiled, as you can imagine. We have to get her a room ready to call her own. We were totally convinced we were having a boy. We waited until everybody left the hospital (you know how everybody likes to put their opinion into the mix, that's why we waited) to pick a girls name. I have some remodeling to do, equipment to get repaired and good old fashioned "around-the-house" work to do. Then we head to Las Vegas for a little R&R; and off to Tennessee to do work on my solo CD after that! "An idle body is the devil's playground"! The other members are just as busy I can assure you. Mikey started a job that has him working 2nd shift and about 70hrs.a week. John is super busy engineering for Lava Recording Studios. You don't want to know what Jimmy, Jake and Lee are doing. Well, maybe you do, but I'm saving that for the book I'm writing! Anyway, looking back on 2007, it wasn't a bad year but it had it's ups and downs like any other year. We lost our friend Lorraine Lynch after a long illness. She was a devout believer in this band and a dear friend. She is missed in a big way. On an up note we sponsored the "Squeaky Wheels" softball team and had some really cool gigs and as always... made more friends.
I hope you all enjoyed your holidays and the year 2008 brings you hope, love
and happiness! Let's keep in touch. Write me at my e-mail (buckforrester@sbcglobal.net)
and let me know how you are doing. Now that I finally put out the long awaited
"info letter" you used to get weekly....get back to me and inspire
me to write another one next week. If I get even one letter back I will write
another next week.
So, until further notice....enjoy life!!
Sincerely-
Matt and all the people that make the shows happen!
